His first introduction to Costa Rica came at a young age when both of his uncles went on a treasure expedition to Cocos Island. Full Details: Verena Moshammer was born in 1966 in Calw, South West Germany. In 1992 and 1993 she visited Costa Rica the first time. 2 years later, after living in the Tamarindo area for 6 months, she and her husband Jogi decided to move permanently to Costa Rica. Verena is an office manager by profession; after working 9 years in office management, administration and sales in Europe, she gave up the opportunity to take over a successful operating wholesale company owned by her mother in order to move to Costa Rica.
Verena and Jogi have a daughter named Laura Joelle; she was born in May 1997 in San Jose, Costa Rica.
