Paradise is calling again

911 is an important phone number in most our lives, and we'll never forget it. 506 is another important one and, as soon as you move here, you'll never forget it because it's our country code. So your friends and family can call you to ask how paradise feels.

The month of June is one of the nicest months out of the year as the rains are starting so everything is nice and green again. We have some rainy days and we have some sunny days, but most of the time it's just outright nice. Imagine using shorts and flip-flops every day for the rest of your life. Can you? I can, because that's what I am doing right now. I'm sitting in my office in the Central Valley, not at the beach, dressed as described above, its 80F and I'm enjoying this incredible view of the Tapezco mountains while I'm writing this.

Costa Rica has only two seasons: dry season and green season. The dry season is beautiful and the green season is also beautiful. I'm saying this after having lived here for 30 years. I still love most every day of it.

The only thing you have to figure out is where you would like to live, and that depends on your life style. The most important advantage (among many) that the American European Real Estate Group has over any other single real estate office in Costa Rica is that the group has partners throughout the country so you can check out the different areas. Looking for a beach condo or a mountain home, a city apartment or a single family home in a rural community? You'll be able to find this through any of our partners. That's why we work together, to make it easier for you, the buyer.

This month we have some interesting articles again, all written by our knowledgeable partners. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We'll get you the answer.

Enjoy reading and remember...506 is the number you have to tell your friends and family to dial soon.

Los Santos: a lot of different variety in just a small area

Los Santos is just a bit south and west of San Jose. The area is known as Los Santos because of its many towns that are named after saints such as Santa Maria, San Marcos, San Pablo, San Lorenzo and San Gerardo, just to name a few.

It offers a lot of different variety in just a small area.

Being just a little over an hour away from San Jose and less than 45 minutes to Cartago, you can easily make it to the big city if you miss the malls, traffic jams and crowds, but you won’t find these here.

Out With the Old, In With Dominical

For years, the Manuel Antonio was the place to be if you wanted a luxury home in Costa Rica. Now, just a little ways down the country’s gorgeous Pacific coastline, Dominical is quickly becoming the new "it" spot in Costa Rica. And while Manuel Antonio is still a great place to live, every day it seems there are more and more reasons to look into Dominical.

Dominical provides the perfect mixture of seclusion and convenience. Surrounded by protected rain forests and wildlife, you will find yourself nestled comfortably in nature’s tropical paradise. And with the completion of the new expressway from San José to Caldera and improvements on existing highways along the coast, Dominical has never been more accessible. (read more...)

It's only 25 minutes to Multiplaza Escazu

Have you heard this? With the new highway now places in the countryside are closer by driving time to Escazu . Doesn't this imply you will want to go there!!!!! Why not live nearby as many do.

Most expats cant be wrong as the Escazu/Santa Ana area still remains the most popular place to live in Costa Rica. This is considered 2nd world and you only have to visit to see why. (read more...)

Hail to Heredia

Development-wise, Escazu and Santa Ana have already had their day in the sun ,driving up prices, of land of building and rentals and therefore of everything else required for living, so that by now investment in those areas is largely by those who figure to buy now and sell later at a thumping profit.

But that’s a pretty risky assumption, requiring nerves of steel and loads of time, more suitable for gamblers than retirees. (read more...)

Get professional appraisal TODAY

Those who have more than 300 m2 construction should get an appraisal.

We have been interviewing many people willing to do your appraisal for a fee.

Fees run all over the map.

I have found 5 companies that do appraisals for banks and other institutions, who have years of experience and will take responsibility if the government does not accept their appraisal.

Send us your basic info and receive the usual after-sale service that you are used to as a American-European Real Estate Group client.
