Quebradas and Miravalles, the "Escazu" of the South

What appeal does Escazu have for Northerners?
One draw is the fact there are so many others in the region. Birds of a feather, all flock together. There is great comfort knowing you can find other American/Canadian/European immigrants should you want or need to communicate with someone else who shares a lifetime of related experiences, which is common to those moving from a more developed nation to the beautiful, yet slower-paced lifestyle sought after in Costa Rica. Real estate in Perez is more attractive than ever. For those looking to retire to a laid back country style living with all the amenities available should look at real estate in Perez as we offer a great range of properties in different price ranges and I'm sure you will love the area.
The Perez Zeledon region is commonly known for being one of the safest regions of the country due to its geographic isolation there are only three entrances to the valley, up the coastal road from Dominical (30 min drive), over the mountains south of San Jose (2.5 hour drive), or from the Panama border (3 hour drive) on the Interamerican highway passing through the expansive Del Monte Pineapple fields.
The Quebradas - Miravalles region is often referred to by northerners as the Escazu of the South, a desirable mountain retreat with cooler climate, limited access to prevent passing traffic and increasing security. Property in Quebradas is much cheaper than it is in Escazu, so call us now to look at real estate in Perez and allow us to show you around.
Hundreds of stores, shopping centers, and plazas provide all of the legal services, office needs, doctors clinics, and all around city life you might need every once in awhile as you step out of your country paradise and step into civilization. If you are concerned about the proximity of medical attention, we are 5km from the 24 hr Urgencias Clinic and the Regional Hospital is in the center of town.
A popular attraction in Quebradas is The FUDEBIOL reserve http://fudebiol.org/ . There you can find white faced capuchin monkeys as well as many varieties of birds, butterflies, and other local wildlife species.
If you are looking to purchase property in Perez or anywhere in Costa Rica, you should definitely look at property in Quebradas, make sure you give me a call or send me an email. To keep things in perspective of how far yet close Quebradas - Miravalles is to other attractions... there is a McDonalds in San Isidro 5km away, and our S-Mall (small mall) just opened a Taco Bell 15km away. There is a movie theater in town that plays current movies in English with Spanish subtitles. Dozens of restaurants and bars provide a sufficient amount of night life for those who crave it. Dozens of Protestant and Catholic churches abound for you to connect if you desire to do so.
If you don't drive, or don't want to deal with driving around, taxis are abundant and can be called to arrive almost anywhere in minutes. The bus service is plentiful and only costs around 25 cents to get to town. Both Quebradas and Miravalles have Elementary schools. The high school UNESCO is down the road, closer to town and two private schools, Escuela y Colegio del Valle and Asuncion (Catholic) are also great options for parents and their children.
The greatest appeal to the region is the cooler 72 degree weather all year that keeps even the hottest days at the beach, or in town, cool in your home without the need for AC, fans, and less bugs flying around. That's why property in Quebradas is so attractive. Check out this hot property of the month by clicking here.
The back route through the mountain roads also takes you to the hot springs in San Gerardo and the world famous Chirripo park where you can climb up to the tallest peak in Central America in a day's hike. Come and visit southern Costa Rica, you'll see why thousands of Northerns have made Perez, (short for San Isidro del General de Perez Zeledon) their choice for life in paradise.
