Welcome to our May newsletter
The weather here is as beautiful as always and rains have started here and there but just a few drops.
So for those who are looking for the eternal spring, make sure you move soon, its awesome here.
The best news we have is that now Mitch Chandler and his crew of Tierra Max® MLS has started to visit locations like Jaco, Manuel Antonio, Dominical and even further down south and many real estate agents have started to upload listings already.
Also, some other areas like Escazu and Santa Ana are slowly started to get the contracts with the sellers signed and to upload listings.
Of course it will take a while before all the properties for sale in Costa Rica will be uploaded on every serious real estate agent’s website, but eventually you will be able to find that property you’re looking for without having to contact 50 different real estate agents.
From now on, a seller will have to contact only one agent and will get rid of the other 100 listing agents.
The MLS will change real estate in Costa Rica forever and will finally professionalize our trade. Agents will have to do continued education and will have to live by the rules and regulations of the MLS.
So, welcome on board Tierra Max® MLS. We all wish you the best of success.

A refreshing and tasty drink and all it takes is for you to pick a tree, climb up (or find a really long stick), grab a machete, slice the top and drink to your health while laying in a hammock pretending for a few moments you are Gilligan on that island (read more...)
While Jaco was already the closest beach town to San Jose, an easy one hour drive now makes it very convenient to travel from the city to the beach for a quick day trip.
Jaco is also experiencing significant increases in rental revenues specifically with the local market from San Jose on the weekends due to the ease of access. (read more...)
Those who have more than 300 m2 construction should get an appraisal.
We have been interviewing many people willing to do your appraisal for a fee.
Fees run all over the map.
I have found 5 companies that do appraisals for banks and other institutions, who have years of experience and will take responsibility if the government does not accept their appraisal.
